INTRODUCTION

Vanessa van den Brink (‘Vanessa’) works under the business nez living, known at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 80918263. Vanessa provides speaking, coaching, facilitation and consultancy services in the field of positive psychology, leadership, future of work, business and performance (‘Services’). In this context, she processes personal data (‘Data’).

Vanessa values your privacy and only processes your Data in accordance with the law (the General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter ‘GDPR’) and this privacy policy. This means (among other things) that Vanessa only processes Data for the purpose for which it was obtained and does so with due care. DATA PROCESSED BY VANESSA

Vanessa processes:

Data that a (potential) client has provided to Vanessa in person, by telephone or digitally (via e-mail or the contact form on the website), such as first and last name, address, telephone number and e-mail address;

Data clients provide during any session, such as data about (medical) condition, background/family data, information about received education and life goals;

Bank account numbers of clients;

Data of clients which has been noted by Vanessa in her Coaching Logbook during a coaching session, such as name, e-mail address and the total of coaching hours incurred;

Data that is generated during a visit to the website vanessavandenbrink.com, such as the IP address and surfing behaviour on the website.

REASONS FOR PROCESSING YOUR DATA

Vanessa processes the Data above:

to perform her Services;

to reach out to you when necessary, for instance, to keep you informed about the coaching- and mentoring sessions you attend with Vanessa;

to process the agreement financially and administratively;

to send you her newsletter (you can always unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the newsletter).

WEBSITE VISITS AND GOOGLE ANALYTICS

If you visit the website, Vanessa processes your IP address. We use Google Analytics and we respect your privacy, according to the guidelines provided by the Dutch Data Protection Authority. By processing your IP address under this guideline, we do not process your full IP address and limit the privacy risks for you as a website visitor.

(OTHER) COOKIES

In addition to using Google Analytics, Vanessa only uses cookies intended to make the website function properly. The use of such functional cookies does not require permission. If Vanessa were to use cookies that would require permission (for instance, to track your surfing behaviour), it will inform you about this and ask for your permission first.

TRANSFER TO THIRD PARTIES

We may transfer your Data to a third party. We will only do this if:

this is necessary for the execution of the agreement we have with you, or

it is necessary for the Services we provide in the framework of the agreement;

DATA PROVISION TO THE ICF

Vanessa is ICF accredited. It is in her and your interest that she retains her accreditation. One of the conditions for maintaining the accreditation is that Vanessa enables the ICF to check the coaching hours made. In this connection, Vanessa is obliged to register your name, e-mail address and the number of coaching hours in a Coaching Logbook and provide this information to the ICF. ICF can check this information for accuracy and approach you for that reason. ICF will only ask you if the coaching hours specified by Vanessa are correct. Vanessa relies on your cooperation and understanding in this.

HOW PE PROTECTS YOUR DATA/ RETENTION PERIOD

Vanessa protects your Data in the following ways:

your Data can only be accessed by Vanessa’s staff (unless otherwise determined in the privacy policy/if this is necessary for performing the Services);

each employee has a personal password to log into the digital system;

the employees of Vanessa have an obligation to observe secrecy with respect to all Data provided to Vanessa;

Vanessa processes Data through online systems. These systems are protected against external breaches in accordance with current security standards;

if Vanessa has your Data processed by a processor, it will make sure that agreements are concluded with these processors to safeguard your privacy;

your Data will not be stored longer than necessary for the intended purposes. If the law provides a specific retention period, Vanessa will comply with the prescribed statutory retention period.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under the provisions of the GDPR, you have certain rights that help you protect your privacy, for instance:

the right to information: the right to know if Vanessa processes your Data, the nature of the Data and the purpose of the processing;

the right to rectify, complete or delete your Data;
